SDGE DR-SES Rates
Christian Solar premier solar energy contractor
Installation, Maintenance & Removal of any SDGE smart meters requires a pre-wire inspection to find the DR-SES wire. This is typically installed with 10 gauge wire, but can be up to 6 gauge wire in some instances. At the time of installation, if the contractor doing the work does not have an electrician on site who knows where this wire is at, it could take hours for them to find it. This increases costs dramatically and adds unnecessary time to your project. With our patent pending technology, you will save money by being able locate this line within seconds using our app!
Surfer's Smart Phone App will allow you to pinpoint the exact location of critical Southland Electric Service SES Line that supplies power from the smart meter to the electrical panel. The SES line has a very large amperage supply, typically in excess of 200 amps. It can cause serious injury or even death if you come into contact with it. This app will save you valuable time and money in the installation and maintenance of smart meters. It is a mandatory requirement of SDGE that this line be located and marked before any new smart meters can be installed.
SDG&E Time-of-Use Solar
SDGE's Time-Of-Use (TOU) rates are a step on the path to a customer choice of different generation options. By offering customers a variety of rate choices, we can help them save money by being able to control their electric use when it costs less. Under certain TOU plans, energy prices during weekdays will be lower than they are at night or on weekends. Customers who do not have solar panels or other generation systems won't necessarily see lower bills under this program because they're likely using more power overall, but they could still benefit financially from some of these rate structures if they choose to shift some of their usage away from very high priced hours. Using this app you will get all the information you need in a timely fashion - when you need it. Information provided includes:
- Time of use rates for day, evening and off peak hours
- Time of use rates for summer and winter
TOU DR1 VS TOU DR2
SDGE's DR2 TOU rates are a step on the path to a customer choice of different generation options.
SDGE TOU DR
SDGE Rate Change Alerts Are You Ready? With SDG&E's potential regulation change from DR1 to DR2, there is a good chance that you could see a significant increase in energy costs. We have created an app that will monitor your energy usage and alert you when you need to take action by shutting down appliances or modifying your behavior. The goal is not to get you to save money while changing nothing about how much power you are using, but instead by saving money while still being able to live life the way you desire. Our app will monitor the following: - Temperature in your home - How much power is being used by different appliances - Make sure nothing adverse, like a power outage, is happening.
SDG&E Solar Time of Use
This app will help you understand the various time-of-use (TOU) rates that SDG&E offers to its solar customers. You will be able to take advantage of lower electricity prices during the day and higher electricity prices at night. This can save you money on your electric bills by choosing when it is best for you to use power.
Solar Peak Times - ToU Alerts -- This app notifies you when solar peak times are occurring so that you can take action if needed. These times typically happen in the middle of sunny days around noon or 1pm depending on your location and could cause an unexpected spike in energy costs if appliances are not turned off properly or alternative sources of power, like rooftop solar panels, are not available.
SDGE Super off Peak Rates
This app notifies you when super off-peak hours are occurring so that you can take action if needed. These hours typically occur during the middle of the night time in between 10pm and 6am, depending on your location. Actions could include running a dishwasher or washing machine -- but only if these appliances were not already completed within a different timeframe.
SDGE Smart Meter Status - Are you curious about the status of your smart meter installation? With this app you will be able to see if there is any known technical issues with your specific meter, view when it was last read and when it next needs to be read by SDG&E. Use the app to track the progress of installation and ensure that everything goes smoothly!
Best SDGE Plan
The best plan for you depends on how much energy you use. The more power that you use, the better it is to look into Time of Use (TOU) rates or Super Off-Peak rates. If you do not currently own any generation equipment like rooftop solar panels, the default rate would be less expensive -- but make sure you don't pick a TOU rate if you are planning on using appliances at specific times! This app will allow you to see all the different SDGE plans and immediately know which one might be right for your home.
